SFR mail

SFR Mail is a service offered by SFR - which means French Radiotelephone Company (SFR). It is a French telephone and telecommunication operator. The company was created in 1987 by Compagnie Générale des Eaux.

Still in business today, SFR was acquired in April 2011 by Vivendi. The President and CEO is Stéphane Roussel.SFR offers many telephone services such as landlines, internet, mobile phone packages, etc.
What is SFR Mail?

SFR Mail is an online messaging service offered directly by this operator. Clearly, it is a virtual mailbox provided by SFR.Elle is accessible from any computer provided you have your user code (so your email, your new ID, or your mobile number) and your password.

Then, just click on the button to identify yourself and you can enter your mailbox. However, be careful not to leave the box ticked: "Stay connected". By leaving it checked, you allow the owner of the computer, if you are not at home, to access your mailbox since the machine will keep in memory your identification codes.

The storage capacity of your mail is 5MB. If you are used to exchanging large files (PDF or videos), your box will be saturated very quickly. But know that you have the opportunity to increase your storage capacity up to 10GB.



Login and password: corresponds to the email or number that was sent to you at the time of your subscription. Theoretically, you can find it either on your bills, or by contacting SFR directly.

It is not uncommon that with all the codes we have in mind plus things to do in our daily lives we forget things as simple as a password. Yet to access his client area, read his email etc, this password is essential.

Your new password is then sent to you either by mail (at your registration, you have to give a 'backup' email address for this type of case) or by SMS, depending on your choice.

Unlock your account by resetting your password

You can access your customer area again with this new password and, of course, customize it to make it easier for you to remember. For that, nothing is simpler, it is enough when you indicate your login and your new password received by sms or mail, to click on modify your password. You will then have to enter the one you have chosen and retype it a second time before validating it.

It is of course essential to indicate an e-mail and/or an emergency number to prevent this kind of situation. Go to the section to secure your account and add the missing backup item and validate.

N.B: the old password, the one you forgot will not be valid after the receipt of your new password, because it has been reset for security.

Online SFR support is still pretty reliable and useful, much more than telephone customer service. As far as passwords are concerned, many SFR users think that SFR is not yet fully developed, especially regarding the composition of the password; only lowercase / uppercase and numbers are allowed for the moment.
